Sub: Ticket No. NF2201757202801 for 03/12/2015 20:50 hrs

For flight from Bangalore to Delhi.

We had booked the captioned ticket on 01/12/2015 through ‘make my trip’. We (Passenger 1:

Prabha S and Passenger No.02 Subramaniam S) left Madurai by Car in the afternoon of

02/12/2015, so as to reach Bangalore in time to board the captioned flight. However, due to

unprecedented heavy rains we were caught in traffic jams throughout the journey from Madurai

to Bangalore, and could reach Bangalore Airport only around 8.25 (20.25) p.m. on 03/12/2015,

but were not allowed to check-in by the counter staff, even though the scheduled flight time is

20:50 hrs. given to understand that the subject flight had already left Bangalore Airport for Delhi.

We therefore request you to kindly re-issue the above unutilised ticket for journey to Delhi

from Bangalore by any flight leaving Bangalore, as we are stranded in Bangalore for want of

flight and are forced to stay in a hotel accommodation.

Awaiting your immediate response to my contact mobile no. 9810870396 – Subramaniam S.

    Yours sincerely,

    Subramaniam S.

    Hello,

I would like to share the incident occurred at Pune Airport on 22-Feb. My aged parents (Father-75 and Mother-72 years respectively) were travelling to Bangalore from Pune by Air Asia flight. We had requested for wheelchair for my parents at the time of the booking as well as by calling the customer care. I dropped my parents at the Airport and went to park my vehicle outside.

Thereafter, when we went at the Air Asia counter, the front office lady Ms. Madhavi Thakare mentioned that we were late and now they will not allow my parents to board the flight when still we had 50 mins for takeoff. We requested, pleaded, my parents who are unable walk came at the counter and pleaded in vain. After a while, we saw almost 11 passengers who were denied onboarding. Everyone pleaded the lady at the front office, however, she was really adamant and was unwilling to call her manager. This episode continued for almost 30 mins after which she called the manager Mr. Khushboo Irani. He was equally adamant in response. Later Mr. Selvaraj joined the discussion to mention that rules are to be followed strictly and even if they try to call someone their job is at stake. Clearly, the customer front office work for their own job. Later, Ms. Madhavi Thakare mentioned as a courtesy, they will reserve the flight scheduled next day at an additional price of Rs. 13.5K.

While I do understand that rules must be followed, however, considering the size of the Pune airport, discretion should be taken into account. My aged parent were not allowed to on board for a delay of 4 mins in the name of documentation, process, losing job etc. The airport at Pune is not huge that it cannot accommodate a delay of 4 mins. I am sure that when Air Asia flights are delayed for hours they do not compensate the travellers as many of the posts and the pictures on the net also confirm. The insensitivity of the front office of Air Asia, the way to understand the situation without discretion compelled me to decide that going ahead, I will not book the flight again. I am sure many of the travellers have experienced of Air Asia.

With the very high standards you have set, you have made our country proud by uplifting it to the world map. I thought I will share this experience with you so that Air Asia becomes more customer sensitive under your able leadership and direction.

    Thank you.
